Senior Kappa Affairs Committee

Broderick Fields

To retain and reclaim members of the fraternity who are 60 years of age and older as active, contributing, fully financial brothers.  To encourage programs that will facilitate their involvement and enhance their well being. We also do  community service initiatives that are geared toward senior citizens.

Guide Right Committee

Christopher Key

Guide Right encompasses many of our youth oriented programs such as mentoring, college preparatory programs, and tutoring. The purpose is to place the training experience and friendly interest of successful men at the disposal of youth needing inspiration and counsel regarding their choice of a life’s career, and to arouse the interest of the entire community in the problems of youth as they seek to realize lives of usefulness.

Political and Civic Action Committee

Seeks to implement and engage in sustainable programs and initiatives that bring more attention around political issues and how we, as members of Kappa Alpha Psi, can impact, improve them, and create lasting change. To be a source of political, civic, and voter education activities while also engaging with elected officials and local civic leadership. To focus awareness on the current local issues which includes: voter protection, upcoming political elections, and economic development.

Technology Committee

Christopher Kelley

To serve the CCAC membership by implementing and maintaining technologies that improve fraternity business processes and provide effective communication between the chapter and the community. Recommends policy, procedure and standards for the chapter’s use of all technology and social media. It seeks innovative ways to increase the chapter’s web presence and communication through technology.

Reclamation Committee

Marquise White

Reclaim non-financial brothers and encourage them to become financially and physically active members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the Southeastern Province, and Conyers-Covington (GA) Alumni Chapter. Aims to engage inactive brothers with chapter events and activities.


Community Service Committee

Marcus Walton

To enhance the quality of life in Conyers and Covington through planning and executing a wide range of services to the community.

Health and Wellness Committee

Karon White

To promote healthy lifestyles and choices for our chapter members and the community-at-large. The committee focuses on all health issues that affect men, women and children.
 

Social Committee

Bruce Harris

 Leads the chapter in the preparation and planning of the annual and other events to promote f ellowship among chapter. Most events are open to the public and others are closed.

Ways and Means Committee

Michael Gumm

Organizes events and activities to increase the chapter’s financial resources. In doing so, this committee seeks to create new opportunities and initiatives to promote the chapter’s growth.

Military and Veterans Affairs Committee

To offer programs and services related to the needs of Veterans. Veterans have made an important contribution to the community by their service in the Armed Forces of this Nation, and Kappa Alpha Psi is committed to showing its commitment and support for all of its brothers who have served.
